Sunday Spread 6/15-21/2025
A three card Thoth pull for the week. Remember: it's not a psychic prediction but a set of things to consider within ourselves as we interact in the world.

Hi there! Welcome to this week’s Sunday Spread. I overhand shuffled the deck until a group of three cards nearly fell out together. I flipped them over in the order they were in and this week we have:
Princess of Wands
Two of Swords
Nine of Cups
Let’s see what this means for us.

Thoth cards (L to R): Princess of Wands, Two of Swords, Nine of Cups
Princess of Wands
In this card we see the element of fire very prominently in the red, orange, and yellow color scheme and the licking flames dominating the composition. Within the largest flame that creates a large “S” in the center, is a nude woman facing away from us freely flying up the flame as though she is part of it. She wears a large headpiece with a tiger pattern that swoops up the flame in front of her and the tail of a sleeping tiger loops around her neck as the tiger’s body curves down beneath her.
She heads forth with utter confidence and openness but hidden within is the ability to attack at any moment (the sleeping tiger could awaken and strike).
Two of Swords
Here we see two large swords crossed, a blue rose surrounds the intersection. In the spaces between the blades there are four white shapes that resemble pinwheels, reminding us that swords represent the element of air. At the top and bottom there are two ver small swords both pointing up. The top little sword has a crescent moon at its tip and the bottom one points to the sign for Libra. The word “peace” is written at the bottom of the card in the border.
To my eye, the rose symbolizes the peaceful joining between the two opposing swords, we see a truce, a resolution of conflict.
Nine of Cups
This card depicts three rows of three cups all overflowing with water that flows from nine lotus flowers showering down upon them. The word in the border on this card is “happiness.”
This card is extremely straightforward. Our cup overfloweth, but not only does it overflow once, it overflows nine times. We have an abundance of happiness, of good things. Nine is also a significant magical number, 3×3, the trinity thrice. This is a very good card.
The Outlook
When we read the cards together we enter the week with confidence and we work to resolve conflicts or indecision then we’ll be rewarded with an abundance of something good. The reward can even be the internal peace of having solved a problem without fear.
A Synchronous Bonus Pull
I decided to also do a three card pull for the week using a regular deck of playing cards just to see what would happen. I shuffled and let the three cards fall out just as I did with the Thoth deck. Take a look at this:

Three old playing cards (L to R): Queen of Spades, Two of Hearts, Ten of Hearts
Do you see what I see? There’s an echo between the Thoth spread and this one. Check them out next to each other.

The Thoth spread placed above the playing card spread.
With both spreads we begin with a strong woman; the Thoth is a fiery one and the playing card is an intellectual one as spades correlate with swords in tarot. Then we have two twos. Hearts generally correlate to feelings, love, etc and this card can be seen as the forming of a relationship of some kind. In both the two of swords and the two of hearts we have two forces coming together in peaceful union. Then theres the nine of cups and ten of hearts, both overflow with love and happiness.
This feels like a confirmation of the three things to take with us into the week. Go with confidence into a resolution and experience joy.
I will talk more about using playing cards for divination in this week’s blog post on Wednesday so make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss it!
