Sunday Spread for the Week of 06/22-28/2025
A three card Thoth Tarot pull to give us things to think about for the upcoming week.

It’s that time again, welcome to this week’s Sunday Spread! Today’s cards are: Six of Cups, Ace of Wands, and Eight of Wands.

Six of Cups
On this card six rose gold cups that look like enclosed glass gems are in a symmetrical oval shape held aloft by swirling copper-toned stems. These stems swirl into a crown pattern in the center and into a heart at the top.The cups bloom from the center of yellow lotus flowers on the stems. In the center of the image is the zodiac symbol for the Sun, Scorpio is tucked away at the bottom. The blue sky and water are in the background.
This cup is luxurious. We have two things that are important to our life: sun and water. The water flows from the flowers into the cups, but does not yet overflow. Crowley writes in his Book of Thoth, “pleasure, in the title of this card, must be understood in its highest sense: it implies well-being, harmony of natural forces without effort or strain, ease, satisfaction.” This is a wonderful card to start our spread and to start our week.
Ace of Wands
The Ace of Wands is depicted with a large central staff with sticks of wood in the shape of the Tree of Life. Ten flames lick wildly at the connection points of the Tree of Life. The background is electric with bright red and bright green lightning shooting from the wand. Fire is the dominant element here. Crowley describes this card, “it is the primordial Energy of the Divine manifesting in Matter, as so early a stage that it is not yet definitely formulated as Will.” This is the spark of creation. This is the beginning of an idea that has potential but has not yet been implemented.
Eight of Wands
The eight wands on this card are depicted by eight red lightning bolts pointed out from a central point forming the shape of an X crossed with a +. Behind the bolts is a multidimensional geometric shape colored in with red, blue, green , and yellow, the four colors of the elements: fire, water, earth, and air. Above this is an arcing rainbow. In the top corners are the symbols of Mercury and Sagittarius. The word “swiftness” is written in the border at the base.
The electricity of the wands has created a physical shape, we can interpret this as an idea or spiritual energy becoming real. The implementation of the idea created in the Ace of Wands.
Take-Away
If we look at the cards together we can infer that if we relax and find happiness it becomes easier to form ideas, to be creative, and to put those ideas into motion to create something beautiful.
So, friends, in our ever-increasingly unstable and stressful world, I hope that you can find something that makes you feel calm and happy and that you can make something beautiful whether you are creative or not. Make a meal that you love, draw something, tend your garden, find some joy.
